The Big Bad Book Sale

I just came back from Ampcorp Mall and am very pleased with the bargains I got. Pretty good deals, most books at RM8, magazines at RM3/RM5. There were a lot of people there which reminds me of going for warehouse sales on clothes. The difference is that people are snatching things from you. haha. I heard a group of friends shouting to each other,

"Hey, I found the queue!!"
"YES! QUICK QUICK GO LINE UP"

because it was just so long you didn't know where the end was.
:)
there weren't only books like fiction/non-fiction/novels/cookbooks/gardening/romance but a whole children's books section (tons of Meg Cabot books!) and a reference section (dictionaries, IELTS, SAT guides)

So if you're an avid reader of all kinds of books and looking for a good buy, this is the place to check out.
Good place to find books as gifts for friends who like to read as well.

Ausmat Awards Night 2009.

I attended Ausmat's Awards Night last night not as a graduating Ausmat student, but a MUFY student posing as my best friend's sister. Didn't really fool anyone though because
  1. A few friends already know me
  2. It's obvious people haven't seen me around classes all year, and
  3. I didn't have that sparkle in my eye that I was graduating
It was fun seeing everyone enjoying themselves and having a good time, I was happy to lend a hand at taking photographs for very happy friends. I wonder how it'd be like at MUFYs Graduation Night in December!

Yi Wei, Nura and I were late though and walked in right in the middle of some VIP's speech.
I was so HUNGRY during the speeches and award presentation because it was already close to 8pm and my last meal was at 2pm - that I looked at Yi Wei and said:

"Azhar isn't brown in colour, he's chocolate."

I wasn't losing it, I was just hungry.
hahaha.
Pictures are uploaded here.

When was the last GG session at Murni?

Scuba Diving at Lembeh, Indonesia

Hello, I'm Sebastian's cousin!
As an after-exam gift & holiday from Papa, I joined a group of divers to Indonesia on a 6D/5N scuba diving trip. He didn't join in this time though, but nonetheless I had a great time! It was such a good experience and I enjoyed the company of new friends and muck diving.

Coincidentally, I saw Kiwi from college at the airport. Same flight to Manado, but different destination. I stayed at Lembeh Hills Resort. When they say it's on a hill, they really weren't kidding. If heading to the resort on land instead of by boat, I think it'd be difficult to get there without a four-wheel drive. It isn't fully operational yet, but it's so nice! and they really have 5 star service. I wasn't expecting that and thus was super excited and jakun for the first two days. I can't imagine how much better it'd be next year when it's fully operational.

A few local Indonesian kids at the airport when I arrived. Very cheeky boys who introduced themselves as Mario, Rexy & Leon. (The one on the far left just jumped into the picture at the last minute)
They are about 11-12 years old, and were very excited for me to take a photograph of them.

The room was on a twin sharing basis but I had a room all to myself because like I said, I went alone. I stayed in a Hill Villa and it was so BIG! The bathroom was ahhhhh the best! haha well okay not the best but it was so.. BIG. and there was a sunken bathtub kind of thing - the water comes out through a little slit that looks like a letter box.
LOOK.

The boatman actually helped me put on my fins! It was so awkward. I've never had someone put on my fins for me before, offer me hot chocolate and fresh towels and water after every dive..
Took more videos underwater this time as the point-and-shoot camera I was using couldn't really capture nice shots as, say, a DSLR could. I should start getting more serious about underwater photography..but the housing and everything would cost a bomb..

Pretty anemone
Big sea star (it's not a starfish!) that reminds me of a chocolate chip cookie :)
Banggai Cardinalfish Porcupine Fish before being threatened, all small and smiley

Porcupine fish after being poked by divemaster - looking all fierce and sharp

Coconut trees everywhere

A sea star with 6 arms. Saw plenty of sea stars during the last dive, including a pin-cushion sea star!Mantis shrimp.

A few of the photos taken by Ming Ching & Kim.

I had a good trip, and it was such a fun experience!

Irony.

The other day when I was still in the midst of final exam prep (muahahaha last paper ended today at 2.15pm), TW called me to discuss some questions. The moment I said, "Hello?" he was like, "This is Pn N, you are expelled from MUFY"
hahaha and the next time he called he said, "This is Mr LTC, you are expelled from MUFY"
I retorted by saying, Pn N already called me to expel me.
hahaha.
The ironic thing is: Mr LTC really did call me yesterday! LOL.
